The Warsaw, Indiana, community is grieving the unexpected passing of Hunter Dallas Pacely, who died at his home on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the age of 24. Born on February 20, 2002, in Warsaw, Indiana, Hunter was the beloved son of Bruce Adams and Stephanie (Wilson) Adams. Raised in a close-knit family, he developed a strong work ethic, deep faith, and a genuine desire to help others from an early age. He graduated from Tippecanoe Valley High School, where he earned the respect of classmates and coaches as a dedicated linebacker on the school’s football team. Those who knew him during those years remember his determination, leadership, and team-first attitude.

On August 14, 2021, Hunter married the love of his life, Heidi Olvera. Together they built a home filled with love, faith, and devotion, welcoming two children, Hunter Dallas Pacely Jr. and Josephine Elizabeth Marie Pacely. Becoming a husband and father was among Hunter’s greatest accomplishments, and his family remained the center of his world. He embraced every opportunity to spend time with his wife and children, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured.

Professionally, Hunter served as a jailer with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, where he was respected for his professionalism, fairness, and compassionate approach to his work. Fellow officers and coworkers admired his integrity and commitment to treating every individual with dignity and respect. His calm demeanor, leadership, and genuine concern for others made him a valued member of the department and a trusted colleague.

Outside of his career, Hunter enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected his love for family and the outdoors. He treasured fishing trips with his father and brother, camping adventures, evenings spent around a campfire, running, working out, gaming, cooking, and discovering new restaurants with Heidi. The couple also enjoyed shopping trips to Fort Wayne, creating simple yet meaningful moments together. Their shared faith was an important part of their lives, and they worshipped together as members of First Brethren Church of North Manchester.

Hunter’s passing has prompted an overwhelming outpouring of condolences from friends, neighbors, coworkers, and members of the Warsaw community. Many have shared stories of his kindness, generosity, and willingness to help anyone in need. He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Olvera Pacely; his beloved children, Hunter Dallas Pacely Jr. and Josephine Elizabeth Marie Pacely; his parents, Bruce Adams and Stephanie (Wilson) Adams; his siblings; his grandmother; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory. He was preceded in death by his brother, Keenan Price Creightney, and his maternal grandfathers.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Hunter’s life during visitation on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw. Funeral services will follow, with interment at Oakwood Cemetery. In honor of Hunter’s memory, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Camp Hero in lieu of flowers.

Although his life was tragically cut short, Hunter Dallas Pacely leaves behind a legacy defined by faith, compassion, service, and unconditional love for his family. His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to live with kindness, integrity, and dedication to others.
